It’s Owl Prowl Weekend in the Starved Rock State Park area, and Starved Rock Lodge is the place to be from March 1-3.

Owl Night Walks (Friday night, Saturday night)
$10/adults, $7/children 10 and under

Steve Bailey, an ornithologist, will be at Starved Rock Lodge for a great educational program.  The program starts at 6pm each night, followed by an Owl Walk that finishes at the Lodge around 8pm.  Please dress appropriately and bring a flashlight.

During the program, Steve will have some owl specimens, feathers and pellets.  He will be trying to call in a Screech, Barred and Great Horned Owls.  Hopefully, the Owl Walk will result in seeing some nest or uncommon wintering owls.

To register, call the Starved Rock Lodge at (815) 667-4211.

The Sunday night program and walk is only available to those staying in the Owl Prowl Overnight Package.  To register, call the Starved Rock Lodge at (815) 667-4211.
