Nest to Maturity

  • 1-3 eagle eggs take about 35 days to hatch.
  • In 3-4 weeks, they develop most of their feathers.
  • At age 6-7 weeks, the eagles can walk.
  • At age 3 months, they can fly.
  • Around the 4th month, the young eagles leave their nest for good.  They will stay with their parents, even after they have grown to full size (seperating when they migrate).
  • At age 4-5 years, the eagles mature into adults (white head & tail).
